NEBOSH exam and registration fees, from the official 2026 list

Updated

NEBOSH publishes what it charges learners. These are the only NEBOSH course figures that are fixed nationally, and they are the ones providers most often leave out of a headline price.

Every figure above is read from the NEBOSH Learner Fees List, FIN015 version 21, published on the NEBOSH policies and procedures pages. NEBOSH revises the list periodically, so check the current version before you budget rather than trusting a figure on any third-party site, including this one.

What about resits?

The fees list prices assessment registration per unit and carries no separate discounted resit line. In practice that means re-sitting a unit means registering for that unit again. Because Learning Partners bill this on differently, and some bundle a free resit into their own package, ask what a resit costs before you book rather than after you fail one.

A remark is not the same as a resit. A Type 2 remark (£126) is a re-marking of the work you submitted; if the mark stands, you still pay the registration fee to sit the unit again.

Questions, answered directly

How much is the NEBOSH exam fee?

For the National and International General Certificates, NEBOSH charges £95 per unit for applications on or after 1 April 2026, covering both the GNC1 examination and the GNC2 practical assignment. Other qualifications have their own rates on the NEBOSH Learner Fees List.

Who do I pay the NEBOSH fee to?

Usually your Learning Partner, which registers you for the assessment. NEBOSH states plainly that the fees on its list are the fees NEBOSH charges, and that some Learning Partners incorporate them within the overall fee you have paid them.

How much does a NEBOSH resit cost?

NEBOSH publishes no separate resit rate. Assessment registration is priced per unit, so re-sitting means registering for that unit again at the published per-unit fee. Confirm how your Learning Partner bills a resit before booking.
